Ted Mant & Sons Pty. Ltd. (trading as Mant Glass and Aluminium), is 40 year old company, trading in the glass and associated products industry, based in the district of Illawarra, New South Wales, Australia.

The company was set up in 1963, by the late Mr Edward (Ted) Mant and his wife Mrs Joan Mant. The business at that time was locally based, and served the local area (Illawarra) only. The founders have since retired, and the business is currently being handled by their children, who form the board of directors of the company.

Mant Glass and Aluminium employs over 30 full-time employees. The day to day administration is handled by the general manager. The company principally deals with the supply and installation of glass and associated products.

The main raw materials are glass and aluminium. The company buys glass and aluminium on a wholesale basis, processes, cuts and assembles it into the various associated products, based on the requirements of a particular customer or job and finally installs it on site for the customer.
The processing on aluminium consists mainly of cutting and assembling to the required size and shape of the associated product.
The associated products include fabrication of aluminium frames, for assembling into commercial and domestic doors and windows, and also fabrication of shower screens.

Thus, the final products that the company sells include shower screens, security screens, domestic windows & doors, shopfronts, wordrobe doors, mirrors (simple and decorative), insulated glass units, and decorative glass panels and partitions.
